Pearly Whites - Interiors Project

Pearly Whites Pediatric Dentistry is inspired by the ocean and it’s calming; soothing effects. The rhythmic sights and sounds of the ocean waves have the ability to comfort and reassure, making it the perfect dental clinic setting to provide solace to patients while they are having examinations or procedures and create a safe, reassuring environment.  Children in particular have always been fascinated by the ocean and underwater life.  While they are drawn to the comforting effects of the ocean, the bright colors and fantastic animals delight their imagination.  In a dental clinic setting, children will be able to escape into their imagination during their examinations and dream of swimming with the fish amongst the coral reefs in the depths of the ocean.  Pearly Whites Dentistry will strive to create an environment that fosters solace, imagination, and functionalism.

The design features a modern style with bold colors, curving lines, and wave patterns.  The layout of the clinic will be based on a privacy gradient with the public area in the front, semiprivate areas in the center and private areas at the back. The reception will reserve as the only public area; the exam rooms, consultation room, x-ray area, and sterilization area will be semiprivate areas; and the employee lounge, private office, lab, and storage will be private areas.  The reception area will set the mood for the clinic and will feature a live aquarium as the focal point and an interactive play area for children that focuses on teaching the value of dental health.
